4 August 2003 - Shout, Sister, Shout! - A Tribute To Sister Rosetta Tharpe, featuring Michelle singing Strange Things Happening Every Day is scheduled for release on 12 August. More info at M.C. Records.

25 July 2003 - Michelle is scheduled to play a free show on Saturday, 2 August as part of the International SOS: SpeakOut at STRATCOM - No New Weapons of Mass Destruction event in Memorial Park, Omaha, NE.

12 July 2003 - Later today (Saturday) Michelle will be interviewed on WXPN's Conversations From The World Cafe radio program starting at 1:00pm Philadelphia time (that's 17:00 UTC). Streaming info can be found at WXPN and a list of other stations broadcasting the show can be found at World Cafe.

21 June 2003 - Michelle was interviewed on Dr. Andy's Poetry and Technology Hour on KDVS last Wednesday. You can hear the show online (for a week) at the website.

Michelle's involvement in "Commercials With A Conscience". You can view the commercial (in which Michelle makes an appearance), currently airing on CNN, A&E and VH1, at StandUpNow.org.

She has a new love and he's a painter.

The Short Sharp Shocked album is scheduled to be re-released in September 2003.

11 June 2003 - At least a few of Michelle's shows have been cancelled (reason unknown) within the last week so it might be wise if anyone planning to attend upcoming shows check with the venue first.

8 June 2003 - From RollingStone.com dated 6 June 2003: "Bonnie Raitt, Michelle Shocked, Victoria Williams, Odetta and Joan Osborne will cover songs associated with gospel blues legend Sister Rosetta Tharpe for a new tribute album, Shout, Sister, Shout, due August 12th." Operation Campfire: Shocked and Odd Tour dates

23 April 2003 - The Operation Campfire: Shocked and Odd Tour of the U.S. begins in May. West Coast dates can be found in the Performances Section. Joining Michelle for what promises to be an eclectic performance will be Firesign Theatre co-founder Peter Bergman and writer-actor Maryedith Burrell who has appeared with improv companies The Groundlings and Second City.
